TERMS OF SERVICE

Clear terms, honest travel.

Last updated: September 2026

These terms apply to safariyandoto.com and to any inquiry you send us through it. Safari ya Ndoto is a tour operator registered and operating in Tanzania. By using this website you accept the terms below. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

Using this website

You may browse the site, read our guides and share links freely for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy the site wholesale, scrape it automatically, republish our itineraries or photographs commercially, or attempt to break into any protected part of it.

We work to keep the information accurate, but park conditions, wildlife movement, road access, lodge availability and government requirements change. Nothing on this site is a guarantee of what you will see or experience in the field.

Inquiries are requests, not bookings

Sending the Plan Your Safari form, emailing us or messaging us on WhatsApp is a request for a quotation. It does not create a booking and does not reserve accommodation, vehicles, permits or guides.

A booking exists only once all of the following have happened: we have sent you a written itinerary and quotation, you have accepted it in writing, and we have received the agreed deposit and confirmed the reservation back to you. Until then, availability and prices can change without notice.

Prices

Prices shown on this website are indicative starting rates in United States dollars, usually based on the lowest per-person rate for a larger group in low season. Amounts shown in other currencies are approximate conversions offered for convenience only.

  • Final pricing depends on group size, travel dates, accommodation choice and the season.
  • Park fees, concession fees, government levies and fuel costs are set by third parties and can change at any time, including after a quotation is issued.
  • Your quotation states exactly what is included and what is not. It is the price that applies, not the website figure.
  • Unless stated otherwise, all invoicing and payment is in United States dollars.

Payments, changes and cancellation

Deposit amounts, payment deadlines, change fees and cancellation charges are set out in the written agreement and quotation for your trip, because they follow the rules of the lodges, camps and airlines we reserve on your behalf. Those trip specific terms apply alongside this page and, where they differ, they take priority.

Travel documents, health and insurance

You are responsible for valid passports, visas, vaccinations and any health requirements for Tanzania and for countries you transit. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering medical care, emergency evacuation, cancellation and baggage. We cannot travel on your behalf if documents are missing and no refund is due in that case.

Content, photographs and intellectual property

All text, itineraries, guides, design elements, the Safari ya Ndoto name and logo, and all photographs on this website, including the images offered for sale in our gallery, belong to Safari ya Ndoto or to the photographers who license them to us. They are protected by copyright.

  • Gallery previews are watermarked and remain our property. Viewing them grants no licence of any kind.
  • Buying a photograph gives you the agreed personal use licence only. It does not transfer copyright and does not allow resale, stock licensing or commercial reuse unless we agree that in writing.
  • Removing a watermark, or reproducing our photographs or written content without written permission, is not permitted.
  • If you send us photographs, reviews or trip feedback, you allow us to show them with your name, and you can ask us to remove them at any time.

Third party services and links

The site links to WhatsApp, social networks, park authorities and government resources. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability or their handling of your information.

Limitation of liability

We plan and operate our safaris with care, and we take responsibility for services we provide directly. To the fullest extent allowed by Tanzanian law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, nor for events outside our reasonable control, including weather, flooding, wildlife behaviour, road and park closures, airline delays or cancellations, strikes, illness, civil unrest or government action.

Where we arrange services provided by third parties such as lodges, camps or airlines, those providers carry their own terms and their own liability. Any claim connected to a trip is limited to the amount you paid us for that trip. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

Safety on safari

Wildlife is wild. You agree to follow the instructions of your guide, park rangers and camp staff at all times. We may end an activity, or a trip, without refund if behaviour puts people, wildlife or staff at risk.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, and the courts of Tanzania have jurisdiction over any dispute. We will always try to resolve problems directly and in good faith first.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. The version published when you send an inquiry is the version that applies to it. Questions: info@safariyandoto.com, or Safari ya Ndoto, Ngaramtoni, Arusha, Tanzania.
